Thrills are part of a three-casino group run by Betit Operations that also includes SuperLenny and Kaboo. Thrills and Betit are part of the new breed of casinos that are more focused on providing a user-experience rather than just a huge catalogue of games. You will notice immediately how easy the site is to use, the central focus on games and how seamless the switch is between desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
There are eight software providers available in the UK including NetEnt and Microgaming with over 600 games available. The sign-up bonus is very decent and the Bonus-O-Meter feature for existing customers is fun to use and very rewarding. Thrills are a great casino to try, especially if you are fed up of the norm.
NOTE: From the end of 2018 onwards Thrills no longer will be accepting UK players, we therefore can obviously no longer recommend them, click the image below to see a list of casinos we recommend for the UK.
- Unique Vibe – Different style to UK-only casio sites
- Friendly – More colourful and inviting than other brands.
- Great Fun & Exciting Brand – The name doesn’t let you down.
Software and Games
Thrills are the kind of mid to large sized casino that I like. They have in the region of just over 600 games and this means a nice balance between choice and functionality.
Games are available from all the major software providers including Playtech, IGT, NetEnt, Microgaming, NextGen, QuickSpin, Yggdrasil and Play’n Go. In the UK there are at least 8 software providers. This produces an instant play casino with over 500 video slots, 30 classic slots, 30+ classic table games, 20 jackpots, 40 live game as well as other bonus, special and feature games.
This is a great online casino site for game choice. There is a little bit of everything for everyone with a nice balance between top titles and more niche games. There are for example over 20 versions of blackjack, 15 versions of routlette with at least 5 or more versions of all the major table games.
All game return to player amounts are clearly listed by game in the sites terms and conditions, you can reach this in one click from the bottom of any page.
Live Casino
The instant play live casino at Thrills is one of their particularly strong features and one of my favourite aspects of the site overall. There are around 40 live games available with every type of roulette, blackjack, baccarat and hold’em game that pretty much any player could want.
Games are provided by top software providers for live titles including Evolution Gaming.
Download and Instant Play
Thrills provide an instant play casino only with no download option available. This is quite typical of the ‘newer’ casinos formed after 2010. They have worked hard on developing an instant play casino that makes the games the main focus and everything else is in the periphery.
On the site there is just the one top menu bar and a search box, every other ounce of space on the site is filled with game titles, all big enough to be clearly seen but not so in your face you end up with double vision. Games can be easily sorted or if you know what you are after just search for the title you want.
Although there are a lot of games displayed under some tabs, video slots for example, the pages are not slow to load. This is largely due to all the games having fixed images rather than flash graphics.
The games are displayed in a tile format that is identical on all devices, all that changes between desktop, tablet and mobile, is the number of games in each row. This creates a sense of familiarity that means switching between desktop and other devices is seamless for the user. I often express a preference of which device I prefer to play a given casino site on, but with Thrills all work perfectly well. Gameplay is smooth and I’ve personalty never had an error or crash event when playing.
Promotions and Loyalty
The easiest way to benchmark an online casino is by the types of promotions available and it’s certainly not a complicated package from Thrills.
The casino site has two major regular promotions, a VIP loyalty club and a widget called the Bonus-O-Meter. The fact that they only run two major promotions shows you they are focussing their resources into providing a couple of good reliable rewards rather than tons of flash in the pan deals that most of us won’t use.
On top of this there are some superb seasonal specials, there will never be a Halloween, Christmas or Summer go by without a genuinely exciting promotion. I’m not saying Thrills give more rewards than other casinos but they are certainly more fun and engaging than 99% of the others providers.
Bonus-O-Meter Rewards
Rather than having individual cash back deals or game specific promotions Thrills instead reward all wins in allocated bonus games. The bonus games change regularly and there are always around ten to choose form an any given day. This is in effect all of the regular customer rewards rolled into one easy to use package.
No opt-in is required, all customers are eligible and it’s easy to see what games are in the promotion by clicking the Bonus-O-Meter tab in the top menu bar.
The basic premise is you receive rewards during bonus rounds, these add up on a graphic until you reach one of the treasure chests. Each time you reach a chest you will be rewarded with extra spins, bonuses or even real cash. Using the graphic it is easy to keep track of how far you are from your next prize and along the way there are useful hints and guides along the way to keep you on target.
There are special features within the Bonus-O-Meter too including a Sunday lighting mode where bonus rounds count double. There are also other modes including race mode and booster mode, all of which are activated at various times to increase the rewards on offer.
Some may say the Bonus-O-Meter is a gimmick and ultimately provides the same rewards (extra spins, reloads, cash, etc.) that other casinos do in traditional promotions. I personally quite like it though, it does make achieving rewards that little more fun and exciting.
It is also important to note that the extra spins at Thrills are cash spins, i.e. you keep the winnings and they don’t need to be rolled over. This is one of the best online casinos around for extra spin value.
Thrills VIP Loyalty Club
The loyalty club at Thrills is invite only, hence why it is also VIP, but if you are a player who bets with at least a few hundred a month you should qualify for the scheme. You can also contact them at any point and they will tell you how close you are to getting in. They also invite players from any other Casino VIP scheme to join automatically.
Once into the programme you will be entitled to a series clear and good value features. VIP players will get faster withdrawals, a personalised account manager, lower bonus wagering requirements and VIP invites.
Interface and Features
Thrills are a great example of an online casino that looks really simple on the face of it but when you dig into the brand it is quite amazing just how many games are actually available.
The interface while playing games is possibly my favourite in the world. There is nothing else but the game to focus on. The lack of any extra graphics and promotions is also integral to the smooth running of the games and this means Thrills games very rarely crash and are playable on slower connections. There is an option to title the instant play casino so that you can play two or four games in parallel (see screenshot above).
There is a distinct lack of peripheral features when you are on the site and this is only a good thing. Anything that makes finding and playing games as easy as possible gets a thumb up from me. Casino’s should be about playing games, that’s why we go there in the first place, and with Thrills that is all you get in abundance. Saying that you can still reach all the major sections; account, banking, support and promotions in one click, it’s just that these buttons are not in your face but they are not hard to find when you need them either. This is really great looking site with a really smooth feel that will work for any level of player.
Mobile Casino
Thrills have designed their entire online casino to functional flawlessly on any sized device. It is easy to talk just about the mobile specific sites and apps in this section but I often neglect those intermediate sized tablet and small PC devises that we now all commonly use.
Have a look at the Thrills site in a typical desktop window, it shows you the games titled across in a row of up to 7 games across. Now shrink your window down and you will notice the format doesn’t change at all, all the happens is the games slide under each other and the row size decreases. This is exactly what happens when you use the Thrills site on smaller screens, tablets and mobile phones. The whole system is exactly the same the game tiles simply move around to fit the screen.
If you are looking for a casino with seamless familiarity when playing between different devices then you will not beat Thrills.
The other factor that is important is there is no reduction in games between devices meaning you can play everything on the mobile site that you can play on the desktop version.
Banking and Payment Methods
Banking is refreshingly easy with Thrills. They are very open with their terms; they offer 24 hour turnaround times on withdrawals and weekend cash out too.
Deposit
All major Visa and MasterCard debit and credit cards are accepted as well as eWallet including Skrill and Neteller and prepaid cards such as PaySafeCard. All methods are instant except for bank wire of course which could take up to four days.
Customers can deposit in British Pounds, Euros, US Dollars and others but once you select a currency you must stick with it.
Minimum deposit is £10 across the board and there are no stated maximums. Remember the minimum deposit to qualify for the introductory bonus is actually £20+.
Withdrawal and Payout Limits
All withdrawals are processed within 24 hours; they are very open about this and they will not hold your funds in a pending system hoping you will reverse the transaction. Transactions are also processed at weekends.
There are no payout caps from games but you are restricted to withdrawing no more than £50,000 in any 24-hour period. This isn’t much of a problem as in a week you could still withdraw £350,000, so even if you have a big win it won’t take long to get it out. They also state the limit is there for your protection so I’m sure if you had a big withdrawal request you can contact them and go through some extra security in order to take it all out in one go.
If you win a progressive jackpot amount over £200,000 you may need to go through additional verification checks, this will take no more than 30 days and is fairly standard practice.
About Thrills Casino and Betit Operations Ltd
Thrills first opened as an online casino in 2013. They are one of new breed of casinos that was developed with the idea of creating a simple yet fun and colourful casino that works on all platforms and devices.
Thrills casino is owned and run by Betit Operations Ltd, part of the Betit group. These guys run three online casinos including SuperLenny and Kaboo. The group have a very bespoke team in house with an overall objective to deliver a professional, clean and yet fun casino without taking themselves too seriously. They have invested very heavily in getting the best people in form the very beginning in order to create user-focused casinos built around real knowledge and skill rather than computer generated statistics and spreadsheets.
Betit and Thrills are both based in Malta where they hold a licence in addition to their UK gambling licence. They also have a base in Marbella, Spain. Betit were also established din early 2013 with Thrills becoming the first of their three casinos to launch later that year.
One thing you can be sure of if you open an account with a Betit casino is that they will continue to grow and innovate over the coming years.
Customer Support
Support is available in English, Norwegian, Swedish and Finnish by email, freephone and live chat from 9am to midnight daily an at weekends. If for any reason you would like to write to then you can do, the contact information for the head office is listed further down.
Thrills claim to invest in the best people and I do believe them on this when it comes to their support. They are not the quickest in the world at replying to emails (although usually within a day) but one thing I can say is they don’t shirk on any answers. Whatever your question or query you will get a knowledgeable, informed and common sense response from Thrills.
Self-Exclusion and Responsible Gambling
Surprisingly newer casino sites tend to be much better at responsible gambling features than older brands. This is possibly because Thrills was established after responsible gambling legislation came in to force and they have therefore been able to integrate all of the tools from the very start. Safe gambling features are also particularly easy to find and use on the site.
Thrills allow you to self-exclude from six months to five years or take shorter term cooling off periods from 24 hours to a few months. You can set limits on deposits, betting limits, deposit limits and session limits.
The session limits at Thrills in particular are better than most other casino sites as they will actually log you out of the site after a given time not just send you a notification (although you can do that too).
