Kerching Casino closed on the 2nd December 2021 having run for over 14 years. This was the result of Nektan brands being bought by Grace Media who then took the decision to close the popular brand. If Kerching is purchased by another company in the future and comes back we will update this page. In the meantime please see our list of recommended casino sites for other options.
Please note the review below is no longer updated and is for reference purposes only.
First hitting the market back in 2007, Kerching Casino will be a characterful addition to any players’ online casino portfolio, as long as they can deal with the showy design and loud graphics. If you are a higher staking player it’s worth putting up with as the VIP program has a lot to offer.
This is a UK facing casino that doesn’t muddy the waters with anything else, so anyone looking for a little dedication from their online casino could do a lot worse, and with the selection of games available and providers the company work with there isn’t much of a compromise either.
Designed squarely with mobile users in mind, this is a great place to play for anyone who games on the go and doesn’t want any distractions from unnecessary extras of confusing over laden menu bars.
- Single Minded – This is a casino and a casino only. There are no extra features taking up space and processing power that you will never use.
- Mobile Minded – Mobile gaming is where Kerching began, and where it continues to focus its efforts.
- VIP – Great for those who aregoing to play a lot, especially added to all of the other promotions.
Software & Games
Choosing the less is more approach, Kerching offer a suite of around 400 games from multiple providers, all chosen to create an interesting, engaging, and exciting assortment of slots, jackpots, and table games.
Given that Kerching used to be an IGT only casino you can still find some of their games here, but they are now in very good company in the way of providers like Yggdrasil, SG Gaming, NetEnt, Blueprint Gaming, Red Tiger, and plenty of Megaways slots thanks to Big Time Gaming.
It’s an exciting list that offers options for all types of gamer without overwhelming the player with options, and it works well with this type of no nonsense site. It may be a smaller list than some offer, but it’s full of top drawer entertaining titles and it’s a much easier number to pick through when you just want to get on and play.
If you do want a little help deciding what to play, or even if you just fancy a little light reading, the casino blog covers a lot of the game sin detail as well as showcasing those with the highest payouts.
Live Casino
Despite having access to the full suite of games from Evolution Gaming, the industries favourite live gaming provider, Kerching don’t make a fuss about it. In fact, if you didn’t search for it you would never know it is there.
There is no Live Casino page or tab or option, but if you use the search bar you can find the live games and enter the lobby this way.
It seems crazy not to make this journey easier for your players, but nevertheless, once you’ve made it you are in for a real treat. Countless blackjack and roulette variations with table limits high and low are made available, as well as baccarat, poker, and game show style games.
The live dealers are professional, chatty, and well presented, and the streams are high quality so you shouldn’t experience any lag unless you have a particularly poor internet connection.
Mobile Gaming
Rather bizarrely, despite being a casino targeted towards the mobile market, there is no app for Android users. iPhone users will be ok, both if you aren’t an Apple fan you will have to make do with the mobile optimised website instead.
You won’t begrudge doing so though, as it is a well-built site which is blissfully easy to use. Yes, the game tiles take a fraction of a second longer to load than perhaps would be ideal, but there really isn’t much to complain about here.
In fact, everything that applies to the desktop site applies to the mobile site as well; the odd game filtering options, the slightly dated feeling despite a strong performance technically, the breezy navigation system, it’s all there.
The main account and banking menu stick in place as you scroll which is a good decision that avoids the user having to constantly go from one end of the page to the other, and it’s possible to top up your account in game too, which is a nice time saver.
Every tap and swipe is registered instantly so it feels very satisfying in the hand, and if the loading times were tweaked up a notch or two it would be as close to faultless as it gets.
Kerching is ideal for players who aren’t interested in anything but games, and who play equally between mobile and desktop.
Desktop Site
In terms of style, this is definitely one for the more outgoing casino player, with cartoon style graphics and lots of bright colours it is one of the livelier online casinos out there. It’s loud, it’s in your face, and it is exciting.
It’s clearly a site built with mobile gamers in mind as opposed to desktop users, and this does hinder the desktop experience to some degree. Not that you will struggle to work your way around the site, navigation couldn’t be easier. In fact, everything is right there as soon as you log in – there is nowhere to go except directly to a game.
This is one benefit of playing at a casino that doesn’t offer any other products. With no sportsbook or bingo section to get in the way, the whole screen can be dedicated to gaming.
Despite the garishness of some of the graphics, the build of the site is actually incredibly simple, almost basic in some areas. This keeps things moving along nice and fast, but also gives it a dated feel.
With account management and banking right at the top, the only other options are the game tabs such as Jackpots, New Games, Daily Drops, etc. The options here are a little odd if truth be told; why offer a tab for Megaways slots but make the player search manually for live casino titles? Still, for all its’ quirks it’s a site that won’t give you any trouble – although staring at the logo for too long could give you a headache!
More Bang for Your Buck
Kerching sit somewhere mid-table for offers and promotions. They are so much better than those places that only throw in token extras that don’t hold much value, keen on giving away free spins on specific games for hitting wagering milestones and also a good place to check out around major holidays like Easter and Christmas.
In the past, they have also tried to encourage play with rewarding slot tournaments and daily/weekly cash drops, and to their credit entry for these types of promotions is usually minimal so they are accessible to all players.
A good chunk of the extra value at Kerching though, is only accessible through their VIP scheme.
VIP
This tiered invite only VIP program is designed to reward those players who Kerching feel bring the most value to the company. That’s not such great news for occasional players, although they aren’t left out completely what with everything mentioned above, but for those who play a good few times a week there is a good deal to look forward to.
Most all of the extras come in the way of bonuses such as birthday, VIP anniversary and welcome bonuses, but there is also hospitality on offer for those at the very top of the pyramid, and a personal account manager with priority withdrawals for everyone else.
The VIP club also run their own exclusive promotions and a weekly bonus on any losses is a regular way that they make life a little bit easier.
Ker-who?
Although Kerching is a UK focused online casino that has been in operation since 2007, a fairly long time for an online casino brand, there is very little concrete information about them out there.
The brand was initially owned and operated by Million-2-1, a Manchester based mobile phone gaming company offering lottery, interactive competitions, and SMS based games, but they were bought out by the IGT UK Group in 2008, just a year after opening for business.
At this point, the casino became an exclusive provider of IGT titles, meaning less variation for customers, but at this point in time that wasn’t as unusual as it is today. By 2012 IGT had merged Million-2-1 and WagerWorks, but in 2014 the Kerching brand was bought from them by Kerching Gibraltar Ltd, a company set up specifically for this purpose.
Of course, the company now had a brand but no infrastructure since IGT had been dealing with that side of things, so they partnered with Nektan who were able to provide everything they needed to get off the ground, including a suite of games from a large number of different developers.
Who Are Nektan?
Since Nektan are so such a large part of Kerching, it makes sense to look into them a little bit as well.
Nektan are a global gaming platform provider, offering full turn key solutions to brands who don’t have the time or resources to build themselves up from the ground. Kerching operate as a white label under Nektan’s gambling license.
They only opened for business as we know them today in 2014, although there had been goings on behind the scenes from as early as 2011. They have since built up a huge list of white label operators and B2B customers, most recently striking a deal with BetVictor to build their casino platform into a few of the operators casino brands.
Money – Kerching!
Method | Min Deposit | Min Withdrawal | Fees | Withdrawal Time |
---|
The only real issue with payment processing at this casino is the time it takes them to get around to doing it and the extortionate fee charged to use Boku.
At 15% the pay by phone option is hardly worth considering, but there are so many other deposit methods that it doesn’t really matter.
The withdrawal time frame of up to 3 days is just how long it could take them to process your request, so in reality you might be looking at longer if your payment provider needs time to do their thing too. Casino’s always state the worst case scenario timeframe to save themselves from bother, but 3 days is a long time.
It’s reassuring to see the medium level of protection offered to player funds though, meaning that should the worst happen your chances of getting any money left in your account back are good. It’s always worth checking this because casinos with low level protection could close down and take your money with them as an asset.
A Helping Hand
Somewhat cheeky claims of a 24 hour support service amount to being able to send them an email at any time of the day, which I think you will agree doesn’t really count, but their telephone support team are available from 8am until midnight and that is respectable.
There is live chat too which keeps the same opening hours, and although their Twitter account is aimed at offers and promotion rather than support, this is another way to stay engaged with the casino.
All in all then this is a pretty good service, and since the brand have been established since 2007 the team have had plenty of time to gain experience and handle any queries with speed thanks to the knowledge gained over the years.
The only real issue in this department is their FAQ, which is straight out of the 90s.
It is a real chore to find the question you need let alone the answer, since it is simply a written list of Q and A’s with no option to search it or filter through the options.
Happy scrolling!
